What is NMCYF?
North Missouri Center for Youth & Families, Inc. offers an after-school program, PowerUp!, that also provides before-school care and all-day summer care in the month of July for students K-6.
In 2016 we became a 21st Century Community Learning Center. Our grant was renewed in 2021 for another 5 years of operating as a 21st Century Community Learning Center. Grant requirements include professional development for staff, offering a variety of activities for the students, and being evaluated by other professionals.
NMCYF's PowerUp! program is a licensed program so we do accept subsidy payments for families that qualify. A licensed facility must have multiple inspections to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
While at PowerUp!, students rotate through STEM, Art and PE, Community Learning, Centers, and the Learning Center. These rotations give students enrichment, physical activity, and homework assistance during the school year.

Lights On Afterschool
Thank you to all that participated in our Lights On Afterschool event in October. Lights On is an annual event to help bring awareness to the importance of afterschool programs. Students and parents completed activities together and a light meal was served.
